Older adult suicide is a major public health problem. Older adults have the highest rates of suicide in the world. This skills-based training program is designed to prepare and enable the those that live and work with older adults to recognize and respond effectively.

Transportation: Small parking lot available and easy access to Tri-Met lines 17 and 72.
Safety: QPR teaches a specific suicide prevention first aid intervention. Some of the content of the curriculum may trigger troubling feelings and thoughts. The class is not a form of counseling, therapy or support group. If you are a suicide survivor or have experienced a loss by suicide, we suggest delaying taking QPR for at least one year. If you are currently experiencing thoughts of suicide, please contact one of the following:

If you have questions about whether this class is a good fit for you at the present time, please email the Coordinator/Trainer (below) at least two days prior to the class.
