DESCRIPTION:Older adult suicide is a major public health problem. Older ad
 ults have the highest rates of suicide in the world. This skills-based tra
 ining program is designed to prepare and enable the those that live and wo
 rk with older adults to recognize and respond effectively.\nPLEASE NOTE TH
 E FOLLOWING:\nTraining will be located at the Holgate Library\,\nTransport
 ation: Small parking lot available and easy access to Tri-Met lines 17 and
  72.\nSafety: QPR teaches a specific suicide prevention first aid interve
 ntion. Some of the content of the curriculum may trigger troubling feeling
 s and thoughts. The class is not a form of counseling\, therapy or support
  group. If you are a suicide survivor or have experienced a loss by suicid
 e\, we suggest delaying taking QPR for at least one year. If you are curre
