Washington County presents an eight hour Youth Mental Health First Aid training.
In order to participate, you will need to be able to join the class using a device that will allow you to see and hear and to be seen and heard during the class. We’ll be using the Zoom platform to conduct the class, which you can use for free by downloading Zoom software.
Here are the instructions for accessing Zoom meetings if you need help setting up for this session:

If you do not have access to a computer with a webcam, a tablet, or a smartphone that can connect with the technology we regret that we are unable to accommodate your participation in this virtual training and suggest that you instead register for an in-person training, if one is available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The training is delivered online in two parts: part 1 is a self-paced presentation and is completed independently by you. Part 2 is an online, live presentation with instructors and other classmates. Part 2 builds on the content and information from part 1. Participants must complete part 1 before attending part 2, and participants must complete both parts to receive certification for the course.
To receive certification for this course, you must:
1) Complete self-paced introduction on or before Monday, May 15th, 2023.
2) Attend live Zoom sessions as follows: Thursday, May 18th, 2023 from 8:30am – 4:30pm
Before you register, please be sure that you have the time and technology to participate. Thank you!
If you have questions about the class and whether it is a fit for you, please contact the Washington County Suicide Prevention Program Coordinator at SuicidePrevention@washingtoncountyor.gov before you register. Thank you!
