Older Adult Mental Health First Aid (OA MHFA) teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, dementia, delirium, loneliness, and addictions. This training contains information useful to supporting any adult, and additional information to allow you to understand and support older adults more thoroughly. Older adults experiencing behavioral health challenges often go unseen; join us for this course to help widen the network for older adults in our communities.
