Parking lot location Glisan Commons – 555 NE 100th Ave, Portland, OR 97220
Parking is available in a large lot on the north side, behind the building. Our training will be held in the Ride Connection building. Please ask the instructor for a parking permit if using the parking lot. There is parking available on the street (100th street). We will meet in front of the Ride Connection building (south building in the parking lot) and go into the Ride Connection building as a group.
Note: Class starts at 8:30 am. Please allow time for parking and obtaining your parking permit.

Adult Mental Health First Aid (AMHFA) teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
The training covers:
• Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges.
• Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.
• How to interact with a person in crisis.
• How to connect a person with help.
• Expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care.
• Learn how to respond with the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan (ALGEE)
