QPR teaches three steps that will allow you to help a person during a crisis of thoughts of suicide- Question, Persuade, Refer. In observation of Suicide Prevention Month, please join us to learn how you can be the connection someone needs to survive a crisis of suicide.

This class will focus on older adults. Older adults are at higher risk for death by suicide, compared to other age groups. The signs of an older adult in crisis are often different from those of other age folks. Join us to learn how you can identify and support an older adult during this period of crisis.

At this training we will distribute medication lock boxes, medication deactivation pouches, gun safes, and other materials to help keep our homes safer.

Training location:

Multnomah County Library – Hillsdale

1525 Southwest Sunset Boulevard Portland, OR 97239
