SUMMARY:The Light In Our Hand:  Holding Hope &  Grief Through The Seasons
DESCRIPTION:\n\nPlease join us to explore grief and transformation as we sh
 ift into winter and prepare for a new year. We will engage with holistic a
 nd trauma informed approaches to supporting ourselves and our community in
  grief\, while challenging cultural narratives that can be harmful to the 
 grievers everywhere. Our time will be spent in meaning making and healing\
 , using storytelling and interactive tools to be learners and teachers tog
 ether. This session is open to all grievers\, no matter what kind(s) of gr

 ter:\n\nCanada approaches life with big ideas\, passion\, compassion\, and
  empathy\, compelled to hold and love whatever comes to her. Professionall
 y she does this through her work in behavioral healthcare\, suicide preven
 tion\, and death care.\n\n\n\n\nIn 2021 Canada was honored with the Trilli
 um Family Services Mental Health Hero award for her work in grief and suic
 ide prevention. Canada has served the community as a Certified Funeral Ce
 lebrant for 7 years and also serves as a grief educator and death doula. C
 urrently she is a fellow with the School Crisis Recovery and Renewal Netwo
 rk\, focused on grief with children and youth. Canada lives her dreams thr
 ough urban homesteading in Portland with her family\, 3 goats\, and hodgep
 odge of herbs and plants.\n\nOnce registered\, you will receive an email 2
 -3 days prior to the training date with preparation instructions and Zoom
