SUMMARY:Older Adult Question\, Persuade\, Refer (QPR) - Virtual
DESCRIPTION:Older adults have the highest rate of suicide among all age gro
 ups in the United States according to recent data. This skills-based QPR t
 raining program is designed enable those who live and work with older adul
 ts to recognize suicide warning signs and clues\, and respond effectively.
 \nPLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:\nLocation: Training will be live and held vir
 tually on Zoom. You will receive the Zoom meeting information after you re
 gister.\nSafety: QPR teaches a specific suicide prevention first aid inte
 rvention. Some of the content of the curriculum may activate troubling fee
 lings and thoughts. The class is not a form of counseling\, therapy\, or s
 upport group. If you are a suicide loss or attempt survivor\, we suggest d
 elaying taking QPR for at least one year. It is up to your discretion to d
 ecide whether attending QPR training is ok for you at this time. If you ar
