SUMMARY:Older Adult Question\, Persuade\, Refer (QPR) - Virtual
DESCRIPTION:Older adults have the highest rate of suicide among all age gro
 ups in the United States according to recent data. This skills-based QPR t
 raining program is designed enable those who live and work with older adul
 ts to recognize suicide warning signs and clues\, and respond effectively.
 \nPLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:\nLocation: Training will be live and held vir
 tually on Zoom. You will receive the Zoom meeting information after you re
 gister 2-3 days before the training.\nSafety: QPR teaches a specific suic
 ide prevention first aid intervention. Some of the content of the curricul
 um may activate troubling feelings and thoughts. The class is not a form o
 f counseling\, therapy\, or support group. It is up to your discretion to 
 decide whether attending QPR training is ok for you at this time.\n\n\n 	I
 f you have questions about whether this class is a good fit for you at thi
 s time\, please email the Coordinator (below) at least two days prior to t
 he class.\n 	If you are a suicide loss or attempt survivor\, we suggest de
 laying taking QPR for at least one year.\n 	If you are currently experienc
