SUMMARY:Older Adult Question\, Persuade\, Refer (QPR) - In-Person
DESCRIPTION:Older adults have the highest rate of suicide among all age gro
 ups in the United States according to recent data. This skills-based QPR t
 raining program is designed enable those who live and work with older adul
 ts to recognize suicide warning signs and clues\, and respond effectively.
 \nPLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:\n2 CEU hours available from the National Asso
 ciation of Social Workers\n\nLocation: Beaverton City Library (12375 SW 5t
 h St\, Beaverton\, OR 97005)\nSafety: QPR teaches a specific suicide prev
 ention first aid intervention. Some of the content of the curriculum may a
 ctivate troubling feelings and thoughts. The class is not a form of counse
 ling\, therapy\, or support group. It is up to your discretion to decide w
 hether attending QPR training is ok for you at this time.\n\n\n 	If you ar
 e a suicide loss or attempt survivor\, we suggest delaying taking QPR for 
 at least one year.\n 	If you have questions about whether this class is a
